5-Minute Makeup

Anytime there's a chance for me to get a few extra minutes of sleep in the morning, I take advantage. That being said, a lot of mornings I'm rushing to make sure I get breakfast, pack my lunch and necessary snacks and leave the house with just enough time to get a coffee. Makeup is usually neglected or done in the dark of an almost crowded bus.
A few weeks ago I started adding this to my morning routine and not only have I been able to get my daily caffeine fix, I even remembered my headphones.
Un. Real.

Any moisturizer, primer, and foundation of your choice would work in this case.
I use 1-2 pumps of my moisturizer, a dab of primer and about a nickel sized amount of my foundation all placed on the back of my hand. Mix them together and apply either with clean fingers or a foundation brush.
Ladies. This takes all of maybe 95 seconds now that I've gotten used to the routine.
Un. Real.
Then I usually do a few coats of my mascara, fill in my brows and maybe add some blush and I'm done in less than 5 minutes. Always.

Warm Reds

HAPPY DECEMBER ! :)
It's finally December which means, finals are right around the corner and teachers are piling everything up which sucks. But after finals is the month long Holiday Break and I canNOT wait to go home and see my bestfriends, it's been too long.
Unfortunately I've prettymuch been on my deathbed these past couple days with one of the most disgusting coughs ever and I've been just doing homework in my living room surrounded by tissue boxes and walmart bags to try to keep from getting anyone else as sick as I am. But while procrastinating on a paper, I had time to put this look together. ENJOY=D

Purple Night

Fall is quickly approaching, which means some minor changes in makeup. If you were wearing powder foundation or tinted moisturizer during the summer, you can pull out your liquid foundation without fear of the humidity ruining it. Richer colors are coming back, and I'm really excited about it. Deep reds, and burgundys are some of my favorites, but last week I did a pretty simple purple eye for the nighttime and got positive feedback. So here's the look

The majority of the colors are from my bh cosmetics 120 eyeshadow palette[2nd edition]. I'll post a link at the end of this post to the website. Their products are really great quality with terrific color payoff at decent prices.
One of my favorite things about this look, is the versatility of it. You can change the intensity of the darkest purple shadow for a more edgy daytime look and change the crease color for a completely different attitude. Unfortunately, since most of the colors were from my palette, I couldn't really take great pictures of the colors, but I did some swatches for you guys to get an idea.

I did my normal foundation routine then used urban decay's primer potions as my eyeshadow primer.
1. place darkest purple on the lid ONLY
2. add the light shimmery purple to crease and blend the 2 colors so there is a gradient effect.
3. pop a small amount of the silver on the inner corner
4. use a neutral eyeshadow as your highlight
5. line your upper eyelid and apply your favorite mascara and a wine colored blush to your cheeks

Neutral Everyday Look : Lorac Little Black Palette

I mentioned in my posts from the other day, that I picked up a few items last time I was in Sephora, and the Lorac Little Black Palette was another one of my purchases.
This set comes with 4 gorgeous, creamy lorac eye shadows & a travel size of their behind the scenes eye primer(great name)

unfortunately the darkest eyeshadow broke off a little bit on the ride home, so don't mind the messy-ness of my box!

I used every color in the set for a quick and pretty casual look on Monday, and I got a bunch of compliments about how the colors complimented my skin tone. So for all the brown-skinned girls out there I recommend this palette ! For $32, I really can't complain. I'm sure I'll be addicted to this palette as soon as I run out of the colors in my Naked Palette.

Here's how to get the look :

I used loaded up the color at the top right on a crease brush & applied to the crease
applied the lightest shade all over my lid area

applied darkest shade to my outer 'V' area & blended.
lined my eyes & applied mascara

finished off the look with L'oreal True Match blush in Sweet Ginger and Benefit's Lipcolor in Lady's Choice.
