Boyce Avenue : Nothing On You/My Love/Rocketeer Medley

Hi Everyone !
I know I havent posted anything for a while, classes have been kicking my ass but we're about to have a break and I have some looks in mind that I'm working out right now.
So don't be upset with me =D

Here's another Boyce Avenue Youtube video[ I LOVE THEM]
This is a medley of Bruno Mars' Nothing on You, Justin Timberlake's My Love and Far East Movement's Rocketeer. I was kinda skeptical on whether or not I would even like this, but after hearing about 45 seconds of this I died. Literally died.
So watch & Enjoy.

Subtle Peach &Purple

Hi Everyone !
One makeup brand doesn't get too much comment on blogs or youtube and that's Sephora brand. Their products for whatever reason, often get looked over and forgot about but I know whenever I'm at the store I always get sucked in to the area with all of their eyeshadows, lipsticks, glosses, brushes, etc. And to be quite honest, I've never really been too interested in buying anything of theirs. =/
The shadows are pretty yeah, and I figured they were okay quality but never got much further than that.
I finally gave in, and bought some Sephora shadows & I'm pretty happy I did.
Here's a look using one of my new purchases.
The color used is a frost peach color, and instead of using plain browns or geys to do a neutral look i used one of the colors from UD's Naked Palette, and I'm happy with the look.
ENJOY =D

NOTD: Grey Suede

Hi girls !
Here's another installment of NOTD for you guyss. Hope you enjoy !

Revlon came out with their fall collection sometime in September and the color Grey Suede was one I had to have from the moment I saw it in a magazine.
It's hard to describe this color really accurately because it looks different depending on the light.
It's a creamy light beige color with a really small amount of shimmer, and under unnatural light it's almost this light pinky-lilac brownish color. [maybe i'm hallucinating.. whoknows?] I like it.
It's an excellent nude for any nailpolish-aholic to have in their collection.

So what's your favorite drugstore nailpolish brand? Color?

Katy Perry - Firework [cover] - Boyce Avenue

Hi Everyone !!
I was browsing YouTube literally 5seconds ago and came across this Katy Perry cover of her song Firework.
I love Katy's version, but this Boyce Avenue cover may be the most beautiful version I've heard. Mind you I spend alot of time on YouTube, so I've listened to alot of them haha.

But really, Boyce Avenue strips it down, &focuses on the lyrics. I love it.

They're Amazing. Their rendition of Tracy Chapman's Fast Car is also pretty spectacular if you ask me.

I'm also not sure why I've never heard of these guys... I think I have a new obsession.

LOOK: Grey Smokes

Hi Everyone !
I recently bought a new Wet N Wild Trio [finally]. For $2.99 I'm really not sure what the hell took me so long to purchase one of these. The one I have is called Silent Treatment. I figured the colors are nice enough to make a fairly simply smokey eye to wear on Valentine's Day when you're out with your loved one.
The trio features a Shimmery Dark Grey color as the eyeshadow, a Dark brown with golden fleck as the crease color and a satin shimmery soft pink color for the highlight. The pink is pretty similar to Urban Decay's eyeshadow in Virgin once applied.

ENJOY THE TUTORIAL !

PRODUCT FAIL: Victoria's Secret Silky Eyeshadow - Provocateur

Glitter is the herpes of Makeup.

The smallest amount will be on you for years, I've had nightmares about spilling glitter on my hands and then almost without even thinking about the consequences, rubbing my face. Glitter is serious. It takesforever to take off. And when you think it's all gone, there is it. Popping up somewhere it has no business being.
Glitter's a pain in the ass.

That being said, I'm not really sure what possessed me to purchase the item featured today.
Victoria's Secret [online] had this to say: Unveil eye-catching color. Pigment-rich formula drapes lids in pure color and an alluring glitter effect.

Provocateur caught my oh so naive and stupid eye because I bought it when I was just getting into makeup and figured for $10, that's way less than I pay for MUFE, NARS, UrbanDecay, and even the Sephora brand. So I was sold. And the beige-pink color is really amazing... in the box.
Here's where it falls short. Swatching the shadow on your hand and then immediately falling in love should only create happy thoughts, which it did in my case. But when I pulled this color out of my collection to use it... not so happy. It took way too much effort trying to load a brush up with this color. I used and elf shadow brush, a Sonia Kashuk brush, and an eco tools brush and nothing was picking up enough color. It was almost impossible. So I figured, 'suck it up Imani & just use your hands'. So I did. Okay, color applied... happy girl right? NO. The beigey-pink color I had fallen in love with at the store was this opaque, almost silver with chunks of silver. I hate when things like this happen.

Since I now had remnants of this eyeshadow on my hand, I had to take it off. My makeup remover wasn't necessarily taking the makeup from my fingers off, rather than just erasing the color and leaving glitter. GREAT.

When I tried to take it off at night.. ugh. There was glitter all around my eyes. Maybe it was my makeup remover, so I tried another glittery eyeshadow; UD's Sidecar. With 1 swipe the color was gone, and I didn't look like I had just left a rave.

But the good thing about VS Silky Eyeshadow is it's literally the smoothest eyeshadow I've ever felt.
Literally. So if you like running your fingers through an eyeshadow, this one's for you.

NOTD: Dusty Rose & Shimmer

Hi Girls !!

I was really bored today and decided to add some color to my nails. These 2nail colors went perfectly together and I'm probably going to be doing this look again and maybe change the nails I put the glitter polish on.
Enjoy!
