Peach Bellini

Painted my nails the other day.

Totally didn't use that nail art kit that's sitting in the picture.
Actually I did, but things got a little outta hand when I tried to do stripes on my right hand while holding the striping tool in my left hand.
I wish I could be one of those people who apply nail polish just as nicely on their right hand as on their left.

You have my respect.

Revlon - Peach Nectar
Milani - Sugar Rush

How pretty is this combination?
I did 2 coats of the Revlon Polish and just one dusting of the Milani polish.

Can we also talk about what a great job it must be to name nail polishes?
I mean really, that person is living the dream.

June Favorites

So we've reach the end of yet another month... that's crazy.
June was probably the fast month this year..I can't believe it's about to be July. Where the hell have I been ?
Ugh.. anyways.. It's finally summer so expect some more bright makeup posts and maybe even some summer tags.
There's not alot of favorites this month, I've been avoiding drugstores, ULTA, and Sephora like it's my job. I'm saving up to buy a new car after I graduate.. so Sorry folks.
But I did find a bunch of old makeup that should be making their way into posts.. exciting I know.

Blabbering on about nothing.. Here are my favorites for the month of June

Urban Decay's All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
I've had this product in my posession since last... July ? And I remember I bought it because someone had recommended it to me and I recommend this to EVERYONE.
It's oil-free and paraben-free. So that's good right? I have no idea what that means.
But it helps my makeup last all day and all night. I don't worry about any of my makeup disappearing when I'm wearing this, and that makes me happy.

Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes
I love these because I go out alot and usually don't get back in until the very early morning hours.. and I'm way too lazy to wash off my face at 4am. =/
Judge me.
But these are great because they really cleanse my face. The towelettes themselves are SOAKED with face cleansing stuffffff. You can literally see the cleanser on a  wipe when you pull it out of the package.
And because I'm so lazy I've been buying these in the little 5pcks since May and just throwing them in all my purses, handbags and clutches so when I'm on the way home I can just quick pull theses babies out and get a freshface and faceplant into my bed without any hesitation.
JUDGE ME

Urban Decay's Naked Palette
This is never not one of my favorites, but I haven't used anything else this month. at all.
I recently got a job and because I have to wake up early to get ready, I don't wanna really complicated makeup routine. With this palette I can throw together a look in like 76seconds and be done with it. Which is good for me because I always wake up at the latest time possible so that I get to work the second I have to clock in. =] YAY for sleeping in ..?

Seriously though, if you don't have this palette I highly recommend you go somewhere to get this baby.
ULTA recently got re-stocked, and the sephora near me has them.. FINALLY. So pay the $45 and get this thing. It'll save your life.

Aveeno Continuous Protection Sunblock for Face SPF 70
Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm completely obsessed with my skin. The skin on my face especially. Every morning I put about a dime sized amount on my palm and then dab that on my cheeks, nose, forehead and chin and RUB THAT SH*T IN. I sit in an office all day.. but I don't care.. because I do have to drive to work for 20minutes.. and the sun peeks in. I know.. weird.
But yeah, I use this everyday, before my makeup, ritually.
It's a good investment. Better to be safe than sick with cancer.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
This month I went back to using my Urban Decay primer potion.. and was disappointed.
I found it way too oily my liking, so after abour 5 days I went back to this and I love it.
It's a eyeshadow primer.. so it helps make your eye creation last all throughout the day.
No matter what brand, no matter the texture.. your eyeshadow will last.

OPI Silver Shatter
Okay, So I thought I was over the whole shatter nailpolish addiction, until I realized I hadn't even used this.
I bought this when it came out [like a true makeup addict] on Mother's Day and just threw it in 1 of 3 of my nailpolish containers. This month I pulled it out, and I LOVE THIS.
I've been using it literally every chance I get.
If I could I would probably paint over my walls with it.. but at $8 a bottle.. that would probably get a little expensive.
Oh well.
Here are some pictures of just 2 of the ways I used this Shatter polish this month

Ugh. Did I mention that I love this stuff?
Cuz I do. I definitely do.

So What were some of you guys' June Favorites?

NOTD: PERFECT RED NAILS

Hi Everyone
Here's another NOTD post. So a few weeks ago while I was at the mall with my friend we stopped in some salon and noticed there was a BOGO sale on OPI polishes. Of course I had to take advantage and not only did I save $8.50 but I found the perfect red polish.
I've had trouble with some other reds previously.. too dark, too thick, too sheer.., but when I saw this color I figured I'd try it out, and a girl can never have too many red polishes in her collection .

I DIED
2 even coats and this is what I got. Opaque. Shiny. Red.
I've already painted my fingers AND toes this color.
& if you don't think that's a big deal, lemme explain.. I never paint my fingers and toes the same color.
I never have, and never thought I would but O'Hare & Nails Look Great kinda changed my life
If you haven't found a 'life changing' Red polish, I suggest trying this color out.

NOTD: Lincoln Center

Hi Everyone !
Here's a really quick NOTD

So I've always taken note of NYC nail products whenever I'm in a drugstore but I've never purchased any colors. When I was at Walmart a few weeks ago I finally decided to pay the $1.72 and buy the color I had been staring at for 10 minutes.
NYC's quick drying nail polish in Lincoln Center

The label claims that it dries in 60seconds, and although I didn't use a stopwatch while I was painting my nails, I thing NYC is pretty quick drying.. a minute might be pushin it though.
I painted my left hand starting from my little finger and working in and by the time I applied my first coat to my thumb the polish on my pink finger was ready for another coat.

It's shown here with 2 coats. The first coat was uneven, and not as deep as I wanted. But if you're looking for a cherry color, 1 coat will do it.
All in all im kind of impressed with this polish. For less than $2 I'm not mad at all. I painted my nails Thursday night and it's 2:06am Tuesday.. and there are only a few chips... but I wash dishes every night and have a nervous habit of chipping polish in classes
Try it out for yourself =D

ULTA Professional Nail Lacquer

I bought some of ULTAs nail polishes a while ago when they were having a buy 2 get 2 free promotional sale, and never really used the, until a few weeks ago.
The quality's what you would expect from a makeup store, and the color's are really nice.

WITH FLASH

WITHOUT FLASH

Fashionista: This is my favorite of the 4. It's completely opaque after 1 coat, which I love & it has a nice glossy finish for anyone who hates doing a topcoat.

For Bitten: When I saw this in the store, my mouth dropped. I've never seen a color like this before anywhere. It's a dark purple almost black polish with green, yellow, pink, orange... like every other color sparkles throughout. Really really nice when the sunlight hits it..I'm really obsessed with color right now

Cocktail Waitress: A shimmery cherry red, but it doesn't have any glitter. It's kinda weird, but in a good way. Once applied it has a really glossy finish that makes it pop. And you can't really go wrong with a red nailpolish anytime of the year.

14 Carat: This appropriately named light golden polish has been on my toes for the past 2 weeks and probably will be until the end of spring if not later. I apply 2-3 coats for an opaque color, which is kind of time consuming, but pays off in the end because of how long it lasts. If you don't like neutrals I wouldn't suggest this color simply for the reason that it's pretty sheer with only 1 coat.

NOTD: Grey Suede

Hi girls !
Here's another installment of NOTD for you guyss. Hope you enjoy !

Revlon came out with their fall collection sometime in September and the color Grey Suede was one I had to have from the moment I saw it in a magazine.
It's hard to describe this color really accurately because it looks different depending on the light.
It's a creamy light beige color with a really small amount of shimmer, and under unnatural light it's almost this light pinky-lilac brownish color. [maybe i'm hallucinating.. whoknows?] I like it.
It's an excellent nude for any nailpolish-aholic to have in their collection.

So what's your favorite drugstore nailpolish brand? Color?

Sinful Colors : Rich in Heart

Hi Everyone !
I think the first time I saw the Sinful Colors nail polish brand was over the summer in my local Walgreens, and after purchasing one color and using it, I went back to Walgreens the next day and nearly lost my mind trying to decide which colors to buy. & that was prettymuch what I spent my money on during the summer.
After moving back in on campus, I haven't gone to a Walgreens just because I don't have a car and I'm too lazy to walk to the nearest one, but last week while shopping in Target I noticed the brand and nearly had a heart attack.
If you're unfamiliar with Sinful Colors nail polish, they come in a variety of more than 100 COLORS with really great payoff. Alot of the colors don't need more than one coat. So back to Target... naturally I was tempted to get every color but I stopped myself, and reached for a dark burgundy color with small red flecks, that I'm in love with at the moment.
Rich in Heart:
Like I mentioned before, Sinful Colors has great color payoff [This is only one coat] and the brush makes application really easy which is great!
