LOOK: Midnight Marine

Hi Everyone !
Here's another look because I'm bored & procrastinating like you wouldn't believe
There's an emphasis on the Blue eyeshadow in this look, so if you don't have the same product I used, if you have a nice matte navy blue that'll do just fine
Hope You Enjoy =D
EYES
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
U/D eyeshadow in Buck - crease
NYX eyeshadow in Blue Marine - outer half of eyelid
U/D eyeshadow in Gunmetal - inner half of eyelid
Sephora eyeshadow in Aspen Summit - tear duct & brow highlight
U/D eyeshadow in Creep - outer V for definition

**HELPFUL HINTS: Apply the crease shade first.
This gives you a template of where the actual eyelid shades should stop.

I started with Blue Marine and worked my way into the eye. When you apply Gunmetal, pat it on and then drag it over on to the Blue Marine. This way the color gradient won't appear so harsh

WARNING: GOOBER PICTURE IN 1...2....3
hahah, sorry. It's the best close up pic I had. You can see the gradient here as well as how I applied the crease shade.

FACE

L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
Dream Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation in Caramel

I've found that the trick to mastering looks with a bunch of different colors is blending blending blending. I really can't stress that enough.
Here's a trick for this look - after applying the Orange, lightly drag the color onto the Bright Yellow just by patting. Then do the same to the Pink, drag and pat it onto the Orange. It creates a nice transition from one color to the next instead of there just being 3 different sections of color on your lid.

HOPE YOUR ENJOYED THIS LOOK
GOODLUCK =D

LOOK: St. Patty's Day

Sooooo... I go to a University where weekends are crazy & students find any reason to drink like animals. I appreciate it. So you better believe St. Patrick's Day will most definitely be insane, so if you're in a situation like mine, what a better way to show your spirit than with your makeup.
Here's a pretty simple look using different shades of green from my BH Cosmetics 120 Palette

EYES:
BH cosmetics 120 Palette
Shimmer - Bright Neon Green [eyelid]
Matte - Kelly Green [outer V]
Shimmer - Deep Bronze [crease]
Matte - Light Sable Brown [browbone]
NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Jet Black
L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black

FACE:
Normal Foundation Routine
No blush

What are your plans for St. Patrick's Day ?!?!?

ULTA Professional Nail Lacquer

I bought some of ULTAs nail polishes a while ago when they were having a buy 2 get 2 free promotional sale, and never really used the, until a few weeks ago.
The quality's what you would expect from a makeup store, and the color's are really nice.

WITH FLASH

WITHOUT FLASH

Fashionista: This is my favorite of the 4. It's completely opaque after 1 coat, which I love & it has a nice glossy finish for anyone who hates doing a topcoat.

For Bitten: When I saw this in the store, my mouth dropped. I've never seen a color like this before anywhere. It's a dark purple almost black polish with green, yellow, pink, orange... like every other color sparkles throughout. Really really nice when the sunlight hits it..I'm really obsessed with color right now

Cocktail Waitress: A shimmery cherry red, but it doesn't have any glitter. It's kinda weird, but in a good way. Once applied it has a really glossy finish that makes it pop. And you can't really go wrong with a red nailpolish anytime of the year.

14 Carat: This appropriately named light golden polish has been on my toes for the past 2 weeks and probably will be until the end of spring if not later. I apply 2-3 coats for an opaque color, which is kind of time consuming, but pays off in the end because of how long it lasts. If you don't like neutrals I wouldn't suggest this color simply for the reason that it's pretty sheer with only 1 coat.

February Favorites !

I didn't really buy too much of anything this month, I've been pulling out items that I forgot about and here's what I've been using just about every day and loving

Urban Decay's Naked Palette: This has been my holy grail on lazy mornings. We all know about it so I don't think there's very much more to say about it lol. I use Toasted all over my lid and Hustle to deepen my crease

Maybelline FITme! Liquid Foundation [350 Caramel] - I bought this product back in January, loved it & even posted about it - HERE - . I'm LIKING it in February. My complaints are it's alot runnier than my other foundatiosn which I don't like & it barely lasts 5hours [FOR ME]. Even with Professional Makeup primer and setting powder. =/ Maybe next time Maybelline. But the color is the best skintone match I've ever had in a foundation so that's a plus.

Sephora Lipgloss [08 blushing]: LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS LIPGLOSS ! It's a peachy bronze lipgloss. The color os fantastic and goes with whatever makeup I'm wearing. I've been slapping this stuff on my lips since the second I bought it in the middle of February. Really good stuff, and who doesn't love a great nude lipgloss?

C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve: This lip balm changed my life the first time I used in back in 2009. I used it everyday, all the time, nonstop and then one day I was just over it.
I bought another one from Bath & Body Works when I was home in January and then went back the next day and bought 2 more. The tin pictured is almost gone [ I like lipstuff] It smells like roses, smoothes cracked lips & gives you a nice glossy finish. Perfect.

NARS Blush: Amour
When I saw this in Sephora I wasn't really sure if coughing up the 27bucks for this would be worth it simply because the color isn't anything special. Drugstore blushes would probably have a simolar color. It took me a couple applications before I was obsessed, the color is kinda of a peachy-pink but it goes on sheer, so it looks like your skin is glowing. It's nice. I dont know if I would purchase this color again though, like I said... $27 for a blush that's mimicked by other drusgtore brands is kind of dumb. But I do like the color.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance: Okay, I'm a loyal UDPP user and the only reason I bought this eyeshadow primer was because Urban Decay had yet to come out with their gigantic Primer Potion in a squeeze tube and I was fed up with tearing apart the older container to get the remaining product out. I bought Shadow Insurance over the summer if you haven't guessed... But recently it's been the primer I turn too. It's creamy like UDs & makes every brand of eyeshadow I have last. If you haven't tried Too Faced's primer, I recommend it. Good Stuff

SO... What have been some of your Favorites this month ??

HAUL: NYX Cosmetics

A while ago I ordered some NYX products from Cherry Culture and I just got it yesterday beause The Post Office messed up the address or whatever.. anyways. Now I have more makeup & now I can show you guys =D

If you don't know alot of about NYX Cosmetics, it's kind of a drugstore brand, but the only place I've been able to find them in stores is at ULTA. The quality of all of their products is definitely high up there, and the prices are very reasonable considering the pigmentation. Now without further ado, on to the products

I ordered 2 blushes, 5 eyeshadows and 2 jumbo eye pencils
Pure Skin: This shade is a matte/shimmer off white color. I'm probably going to get alot of use out of this as a brow highlight

Walnut: I already have about 56 eyeshadows like this, so I figured why not another ? I'm a sucker for neutrals and I'm actually really happy I went along and bought this one. It's a reddish-brown shimmer eyeshadow that can be used all over the lid, or as a crease shade

Volcano: This deep brown shimmer eyeshadow had me sold after I saw the name. Again, it's not really anythign special, but it can be used for alot of different looks

Sensual: The picture isn't really an accurate representation of its true color. It's a deep charcoal almost black color with hints of purple flecks throughout. Almost like MAC's Young Punk.

Blue Marine: The way it looks in the picture, is exactly the way it looks on my eye. Yeah, I already tried out a look with this color so be on the lookout for that. But I had to have this color, it's a deep navy blue with really small hints of blue shimmer.

Here are the 2 swatches of the Jumbo Eye Pencils
Right: Iced Mocha - shimmery golden bronze
Left: Pots & Pans - true silver

Blush in Cinnamon - matte vibrant orange.
This was my last purchase and I was kind of hesitant because I had no idea what I was gonna do with a bright orange blush. But now that it's here, I really can't wait to try it out.

Hope you guys enjoyed that, and hopefully this helps when you're out and about shopping for makeup.

SO... Any NYX Cosmetics items you can't live without ??
