June Favorites 2016

Alright, I hate to harp on how quickly this past month flew by, but really... June came and went faster than a one night stand dude. Truly.

One day I was dating everything 6/1 and then what seemed like a week later, rent is due. Yet again.
I don't have any brand new items to talk about, here's my list of items I couldn't stop using this month.

Hope you enjoy.

Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover
When I first started getting really into makeup during college, Clinique was the first 'high-end' brand I could afford, and I used their 3-step skincare for a few years without even trying this makeup remover.
This was also before liquid lipsticks became my obsession and my nemesis. But now that I have close to 50 of these badboys, mama needs a remover that won't completely ruin my lips.
In step Take The Day Off Makeup Remover.
I can't speak on how well it removes foundations and eye makeup because I solely use it when I'm wearing stubborn lipstick (ie liquid lipsticks), and it works wonders for me !
I apply it liquid on a cotton pad, and start wiping my lips from the lipline in and when I'm finished there isn't a trace of product on my mouth.
If you're having trouble finding a product gentle enough to remove your liquid lipsticks, I recommend this. It's not a drugstore price, but you get what you pay for.

Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser
I rediscovered how much I love this phucking stuff when my roommate(who works for a Lancome Counter) brought home a bunch of these little sample bottles.
You've probably noticed in up-close photos, I have a bit of texture on my cheekbones, this shit made it vanish.
With using half a dime size amount of this every morning and evening my face is as clear as all hell, and I ain't mad at that. It lathers up really nicely when activated with water, and when rinsed off leaves your face feeling clean, moisturized and ready to go.
Can you ask for anything more?

Eylure x Vegas Nay Grand Glamour Lashes
I truly don't have a negative thing to say about this product, for around $7 at Ulta or Target you can buy these incredible triple stacked lashes and easily take any eye look to the next level.
These wear beautifully on the eye and with decent maintenance they can last for weeks.
You need to try theses if you haven't yet.

Maybelline Fitme! Liquid Foundation in 335 Classic Tan
For the longest time I was mixing 2 colors of this liquid foundation to match my skin tone, but a month or so ago the brand released a few new shades and this is the perfect color for me.
I've been using it non-stop and for $6 it's definitely one of my all time favorite drugstore products.

NYX Lipsuede in Soft-Spoken
I've had this lipstick since it released, and it's never let me down. But recently I rediscovered it and fell in love with it all over again. It's a beautiful mauvey-brown when it dries down and it just suits almost any neutral look perfectly. I had to buy a backup of it, that's how much I've been using it.
If your skin tone is close to mine, or not this would probably look beautiful on you

February Favorites

The month of February flew by.
It was the 1st, and then it was Valentine's Day, then Easter decor started popping up everywhere. Literally everywhere. Can we slow down, just a second please? I barely had time to shop for new beauty products this month, as you'll see my Favorites reflect that.
Although the shortest month of the year is over, I'm not complaining, spring is slowly easing its way into PA and it's glorious.
So without further ado, if you're interested in checking out the products I kept reaching for in February, keep scrolling.

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer
I added this to my shower routine in January, and couldn't stick to using it. This month I forced myself to remember, and I am so happy I did. This is one of those products that seems a bit gimmicky in stores, I'll admit. What made me reach for this is actually the other brand of in-shower lotion, Nivea. I tried the Nivea lotion during the summer, and hated it. It left moisturized, but greasy and that shit ain't cute. So I figured I'd give this one a go. You rub it in after bathing and pat it dry. I still use my lotion when I get out, but with this you truly don't have to.
If you've been eyeing this up I definitely recommend just trying it, this bottle's almost empty and I plan on purchasing it again. (There's even a coupon for it in Sunday's paper!)

Noxzema Original Deep Cleansing Cream
I had been using Pacifica Sea Foam Complete Face Wash for a few months, and never noticed any changes to my skin. I don't have acne prone skin or anything, but I was expecting a difference after washing. Then in January my skin went nuts for a couple of weeks, and my cleanser wasn't doing anything for it. I hopped into Target and gravitated towards this Noxzema product. It has eucalyptus in it, like some of their other products that I like so I bought it, and some face masks. I think the jar was $3.99. Figured why not. I instantly noticed a difference in the pimples, and with continued use I'm starting to notice a difference in my skin's texture overall.

Hard Candy Just Glow! Baked Illuminating Powder Duo in Twinkle Star
The Hard Candy 12hour Power Primer is my current go-to primer when I need my makeup to last all day, so I've been trying to explore some of the brands other products. I never hear anyone raving or ranting about Hard Candy, so I've kind of taken it upon myself to just try every product they put out. This illuminator isn't my favorite highlight powder of all time, but this month I've definitely been reaching for it more than my others. The duo features a peach-bronze, and light white gold shade. I mix them together with a fan brush and it's just so beautiful on the cheek bones.

Maybelline FitMe Shine-Free Foundation stick in 340 Cappuccino
I don't think there's really much to say about this product. It's from Maybelline's FitMe foundation line, which is amazing, and because it's a stick foundation it's super easy and quick application gets me out the door in like 3 minutes when I'm in a rush

GOLD DUST + The Nudes by Maybelline (First Impressions)

So I read about this Maybelline Palette.. The Nudes online about a month and a half ago. And have been on the hunt for one ever since.
For a while I had been eyeing it up at a local CVS, and then it came... the 25% off coupon.
I rushed to CVS, turned the corner where the Maybelline display was... and there it was.
An empty display.

Then I went to Walgreens. No luck.
Then Walmart. No luck.
And then Target. And there it was. Cheaper here than the 3 stores I had visited.
Needless to say I was happy. So happy I actually squealed a little bit.
I'm not lying.
My boyfriend thought and still thinks that I am completely out of my mind because of how excited I get over makeup & a good deal.
But there it was at Target for $9.99

Lakeside

Hey everyone!
I've completely given up on trying to format html.
I don't even know if that's the proper terminology but, I'm just too annoyed with it to try any longer.
I figure I'll have a friend do it when the time is right, or when I actually gain a following I'll get some professional assistance.

Anyways, the weather is finally starting to get cooler here in PA, and I honestly couldn't be any more content.
The leaves are slowly starting to lose their deep green, and become a roasted orange.
Pumpkin everything has taken over.
And I very recently saw my first white girl in shorts and UGGS.
That's fall in PA.

In my desperate attempts to hold on to the last bit of sunshine before grey skies become a constant, I've been playing in the brighter colors of my makeup.
I give you....lakeside.
 Do you like it?
Do you love it?
I'm totally seducing you.
Can you feel it ?

Whatever, I'll stop.
BEAUTY INGREDIENTS
1. Maybelline FITme! Foundation in 340 (Cappuccino)
2. Revlon Photoready Liquid Foundation in Caramel (used as concealer)
3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate
4. Too Faced Shadow Insurance
5. Milani Bella Eyes Powder Shadow in Bella Navy
6. Milani Bella Eyes Powder Shadow in Bella Teal
7. bhcosmetics 88 Neutral Palette (crease, tearduct, highlight)
8. L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black
9. NARS Powder Blush in Amour
10. NYX Round Lipstick in Minimalism

If you took a look at the products used, I used 2 of Milani Cosmetics newest eye shadow products, and I can't wait to do a complete review for you.
They blend like a fucking dream, and the color payoff is pretty incredible considering they're less than $5.

Bella Teal is the color on my lower lashline, and I'm 100% obsessed with it.
There's a bit of green and gold that really makes the color pop, can't wait to find a way to use this all over my eyelid.

Have you tried any of the Bella Eyeshadows?
Tell me what your favorite is.

Thanks a ton for stopping by !

Grey&Greens

sigh.. hey there
this week has been pretty ridiculous when it comes to classes/homework/studying.
there really is not even time in a day do get everything done.
anyhoo..
I rarely use any other colors than brown when I'm doing my daily look.
But I changed things up a little yesterday since I had some extra time in the morning and here's what I came up with.
I don't ever use green, but every time I do, I'm always pleasantly surprised with how good it looks.

holler.
Here's another completely random eyeshadow look
I don't really match my clothes anymore, because I'm a fool
So that concept has clearly crossed over into some of my makeup..
But this look works.
With a plain shirt, I would wear this out
actually I'd wear this out with anything..
Did I mention that I'm a fool ?

Gold Rush

heyhihellooo everyone !
I've been really into smokey looks for the past couple of weeks
and I've been testing out some of them to get them perfect before uploading them
But I finally got this one just the way I wanted it so now I can share <3

It's no secret that neutrals are my favorite colors to work with, simply because there's so many varieties and shades and they compliment everyone's skintone & eyecolor.
So I focused on Gold. =]
Who doesn't love a gold eye ? yeah, I dunno either.

So here's the look.

Seriously though, I would wear this look everyday if I wasn't a bum and could actually get up when my alarm went off in the morning.
=/
But I like my sleep, sue me.
You can prettymuch wear this look with any outfit and any lipcolor. Ugh, Imagine this with a deep red lip ..
I can't. So good.
I didn't put anything on my lips besides chapstick, because that should be left up to you =]

As always..

Red White and....Yellow

Hi everyone !
Sorry it's taken a while for me to upload since my last post. I've been moving back into my place at school and trying to get things organized.
Classes started today.. and they suck
So while wishing it was still summer, I remember that I did this look before I left and never put it up.

I'm not really sure what prompted me on this particular day to use these colors but I did, and I did this look more than once. It does take a little getting used to, but it's relatively easy and it's great if you're missing summer like me.

I mentioned that classes have started, and I don't plan on posting any back to school looks simply because I think if you're at a college/university like I am, you wanna keep it simple so you can roll outta bed 3minutes before class without having to worry about looking perfect.
I recommend just dabbing concealer on undereye circles, and blemishes and maybe a few uick swipes of some mascara to open your eyes up.
That's what I'll probably be doing.

COCKTAIL HOUR: White Peach Sangriaaa

heyhihello !
Here's another cocktail inspired look !
White Peach Sangria is one of the drinks I can remember from when I was a child.
Not because I was a child alcoholic, but because of my mother and her friends.
They would get together and drink this stuff pitcher after pitcher after pitcher
Have a good time with this look, the colors are flattering on just about every skintone and there's tons of dupes for the shadows that I used, so play with this look and make it your own.

as always... enjoy =]

COCKTAIL HOUR: Cotton Candy Cosmopolitan

So, I have a secret
I secretly canNOT wait to order obnoxious drinks like this one simply for way they look.
Does that make me weird? Judge me.

Looking through all the makeup that I have I noticed something.. I don't have alot of pink. at all
Because I have this idea that pink is one of the dumbest colors ever.
Not only that, but I'm not a babygirl.. therefore wearing anything pink is completely unacceptable.

But today I broke my own rule, and went pink crazy.
And I'm not even mad about it
Here's my version of a Cotton Candy Cosmopolitan.... for your face =]

COCKTAIL HOUR : Mudslide Martini

okay.
so it's been a while since i've posted anything but as an excuse, it was way too friggin hot where I live to do anything. Honestly. The heat wave was out of control and I was definitely not interested in painting my face over and over trying to get a makeup look to work.
But it's beginning to cool down, so I can finally pull out my makeup again =] yay.

I kept the Mudslide Martini look pretty light and just added hints of some warm and cooler toned browns.
Whenever I see this drink being served at restaurants it's always a creamy milKy color with chocolate syrup drizzled around the inside of the glass, so that's where my inspiration came from.
